Reviews Summary

Copper Crown is lauded for its exceptional food quality and innovative flavor combinations, with many diners calling it some of the best in Asheville. The cozy yet upscale atmosphere and attentive service, particularly from servers like Brenton, are frequently highlighted. However, a few reviews noted inconsistencies in food temperature and seasoning, and one experience described subpar service.

"I've lived in Asheville for 7 years, and this is by far the best food I have ever had here. I had rotten scallops at Limones and Stoney Knob, terrible food at Bone & Broth, bland food at Curate and Chestnut. I was giving up! At CC, they execute every single dish with culinary skill and complexity. They use flavors and textures beautifully. Every single thing we ate was satisfying.

Service was great but then oddly lagged towards the end of the meal, but that won't stop me from returning. I love how the atmosphere feels a bit upscale yet cozy/relaxed/unpretentious at the same time. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes and will do so this weekend!"

Elizabeth Ready

"We were looking forward to a special meal to celebrate my partner's birthday and chose CC looking forward to the menu and having a nice dining experience. Unfortunately what we got was one of the most sub par meals and worst service we have ever had. After taking our order, not one server checked in with us if everything was satisfactory, the only question we were asked was if we want more drinks. Our entree was brought out while we still had our app, and the app was grabbed so fast without them asking if we were done. Because my partner and I have worked in food service for fifteen years we noticed that not one server had non slip shoes on and none of the servers with long hair had it pulled back (surprised no one find a hair in their food). I watched servers carry more plates than they actually could so plates are supported by securing them to their stomach. We did order three dishes that got worse as we went. The gnocchi with roasted corn was good but somewhat bland. We were not asked how it was, the plate was just taken from the table without a word. Our second dish was beef cheeks with cauliflower puree and pickled cucumbers. Once again this was bland and needed salt. The worst part on this dish is the fact that everything was cold. Plate was cold, cauliflower was cold, the only hot thing was the beef cheeks and they were barely hot. This dish was grabbed from our table without asking if we were done, we were not. Finally we got a pork schnitzel and were looking forward to a great take on a classic. Guess what, it needed salt. To top it off out entree was served on a chipped plate that looked like it was from 1970. I would have brought all this up to a manager instead of a giant post online, but it didn't look like there was anyone in charge in the front. Just a bunch of people wanting to flip tables and make money. Overall one of the worst dining experiences in my life"

"Copper Crown proves why Asheville’s dining scene shines. Our server, Brenton, was nothing short of magnificent—his spot-on suggestions and warm hospitality made the night feel like we were dining with an old friend who just happens to have impeccable taste. Huge kudos to him and the entire staff, who kept the evening seamless from start to finish.

The potato gnocchi is an absolute must—pillowy, rich, and perfectly balanced. The small plate bison also stole the show, bold yet refined. Honestly, not a single dish missed the mark—some simply stood taller than others. Copper Crown is the kind of place where you leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit."

Copper Crown doesn’t try to impress you with molecular gastronomy or rare Himalayan spices. Instead, it just serves exceptionally well-executed food, the kind that makes you stop mid-conversation to say, “Wait, this might be my new favorite burger.” The menu is all over the place in the best way possible—house-made pastas, roasted chicken, excellent sandwiches—so it works just as well for a casual Tuesday as it does for a date night.
