Located on the top floor of the Hotel Captain Cook, this is also the best restaurant view in Anchorage, spanning the Chugach Mountains to the east, the Alaska Range to the north and west, and the city 20 stories below. The dress code, like everything in Alaska, is relaxed: business casual, but no sandals and no shorts.

I would have to say that the Crows Nest in the Hotel Captain Cook would be an excellent choice. Unlike the Glacier Brewhouse and Marx Bros, this is located 20 floors on the top of the hotel so the view was unbeatable. The food was fantastic and so was the service.

The Crow’s Nest in the Captain Cook Hotel had many thumbs up votes from my female friends and their spouses. “Always good food and love the ambience.” “Very expensive, but beautiful ambience, unobtrusive service and magnificent food well presented.” Considering they sit atop one of the hotel towers with stunning views of the Cook Inlet, Downtown Anchorage and the Chugach Mountains, I can see where the location is worth a premium price.
