What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Canyon Steakhouse offers a fine dining experience with generally well-prepared steaks and seafood, often highlighted by stunning views. While many praise the food quality, attentive service, and delicious desserts, some reviews mention inconsistent steak preparation and a disconnect between pricing and decor, suggesting a more upscale ambiance would be welcomed. Reservations are highly advised.
"The steaks were awesome! The service was great, even though they were slammed. We had breakfast the next day and the omelets were awesome! Good job"
Troy Parke
"The steakhouse was located very close to the lobby! The portions were average size but the atmosphere was nice. However the rib-eye was kinda strange in that it was simply a piece of meat with nothing else."
Matt Lim
"This was the first full week of the season so trying to give some grace as they work out their rhythms. The waiter was nice enough however I was not told about the specials (I overheard another waiter share them with his table after I had ordered) and felt rushed to order, like I was inconvenience. For how pricey the menu was I was expecting a more upscale experience, most people were in jeans, as well as decor, it felt very dated - so that leads me to conclude it’s expensive just because they’ve got you there as a captive audience. The food was good, I loved the plating of the halibut but it was way too salty."

Located off the main lodge entrance, Canyon Steakhouse (also referred to as Canyon Ridge Grill) provides a lovely dining experience. The restaurant menu specializes in dry-aged steaks and chops, complemented by fresh Alaska seafood selections. As a steakhouse, expect to pay a premium to dine there, although we didn’t think the restaurant décor matched its pricing.
