Reviews Summary
Diners rave about Rockfish's incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked seafood, with many highlighting the unique experience of daily specials written on tablecloths and the truly unlimited chips. While the food and service are frequently praised, some reviews mention occasional slow service or too many staff checking in, though these are generally overshadowed by the overall positive dining experience and stunning beachfront views.
"Excellent fish restaurant.
There is comprehensive menu. In addition, there is a paper table cloth with a list of additional fish dishes. The catch of the day fishes are marked by the waiter and some more catches nicely explained.
We had catch of the day dishes. The fish is absolutely fresh and delicious.
The service is very competent, nice, efficient and attentive.
There is a standard disabled toilet well accessible and nicely hidden."

"Service was excellent. Our waitress, her first day, was lovely. Also, Solly was great too. I liked that they wrote on your table cloth what was available that day and the price. A great moment. In addition, the welcome as we entered and when we booked, lovely, welcoming and friendly.
Loved the shipping forecast in the toilets. A nice touch that we remember.
Unlimited chips were really unlimited - brilliant. No terms and conditions, maybes, or if you’d, just unlimited. Ronseal!
Fish…cooked perfectly.
Anchovy mayonnaise was exceptional. Plus, the homemade tartare was fabulous and the curry sauce was out of this world.
The Rockfish lager was good too."

"We had the most amazing meal here the other night. My second visit to a Rockfish restaurant and I wasn’t disappointed. The food was cooked to perfection. Toby, our waiter, was attentive and polite. Intolerances were catered for with care and reassurance. Perfect!"

10 of the best places to eat in Weymouth
Amidst much excitement and anticipation, renowned chef Mitch Tonks is bringing his restaurant chain to Weymouth - it will open its doors on 8 August, and if it's anything like the existing Rockfish restaurants further down the coast, diners are in for a treat. The menu will showcase the finest seafood, with a focus on sourcing it both locally and sustainably, and you can expect imaginative dishes such as a wild prawn carpaccio to start followed by whole chargrilled sea bass with rosemary, garlic and salsa verde. There will also be a separate menu dedicated to locally sourced fish, as well as a selection of vegetarian and vegan options.

I went for the traditional fish in batter and chips as I can so rarely take up this option. The batter was the lightest and crispiest ever. The restaurant itself was booked but I had a table outside, blessed with the weather.
