Especially as the pig theme pops up every now and then, and the fact that as the day turns into night, LED lights are switched on changing the restaurant’s whole ambiance.

The attentive, friendly staff ensure guests feel comfortable and well cared for throughout their visit. I’m a few weeks late posting this, but we were visiting here from Swindon - admittedly, we usually go for a roast somewhere else but because their kitchen was closed, it opened us up to looking for somewhere new. As one of the group is coeliac, I had messaged about 9 different places and this was the first one to respond and on the same day.

Ginger Pig Kitchen (open Thursday-Sunday) is a brilliant restaurant if you like your gastropub stuff. Pork belly, torched goats cheese, risotto, moules-frites, posh fish and chips and the like. Thursday evenings are reserved for their legendary tapas nights with cocktails buy the jug or glass, lunch and dinner are served on Fridays and Saturdays, and you can grab yourself a stonking roast on Sundays from 12pm.

It’s called the Ginger Pig Kitchen (no relation to the posh London butcher) and, to be fair, we had good burgers there (in the middle of a day-long drive from St Davids to Dartmouth).
