"Went for soft launch night and had an absolutely fantastic evening. Despite being absolutely packed, service was quick and friendly and checked up on us multiple times to make sure all ok. Special mention to Sophie who looked after us, really made sure we were happy and had everything we needed.
The food was phenomenal, really have to mention the Duo of Pork which was cooked perfectly, and the trio of desserts which was to die for!

"Went for dinner on Sunday evening, service was great, attentive with little to no wait. Surroundings very nice and well decorated. Plenty of parking and accessible. Food was good and nicely presented Morrocan lamb was tasty. However couscous was very cold (assumed was supposed to be like this but would prefer warm at least) portion sizes small especially starters ( scallops and prawns fit in a small shell) and prices quite high. By 9pm we were pretty much alone in the restaurant. Overall not value for money in my opinion."

Ego at The Hollybush is set in a beautifully restored early 20th century pub between Leek and Hanley, so finds itself in the perfect location for rural and city dwellers alike. The terrace is like a conservatory, but with the roof rolled back and all of the floor-to-ceiling windows open, making a gorgeous little suntrap. The mocktails are really refreshing – I’ve tried nearly all of them from the menu, but the Apple and Elderflower Fizz was probably my favourite, and they’re all two for £6.

My wife and I enjoyed a really nice Tuesday Steak Experience at Ego Stockton Brook. Apart from the food which was top notch (the sirloin was cooked to perfection) we were looked after extremely well by Charlotte who was friendly, attentive and who was able to give us just enough time to make our evening special. At the end of the meal I was pleased to tell her that she would make a wonderful daughter!
