This family friendly 200-year-old stone-built pub, set on the main road halfway between Penzance and Marazion, is run by husband-and-wife team Tom and Amy Symonds who previously worked in some of Cornwall’s top culinary spots before taking over the reins here. Since then, they’ve gained national recognition for their local and seasonal menu that includes wood-fired pizzas and small plates such as slow-cooked squid and tomato stew as well as main courses that might include Newlyn hake with coriander rice, courgettes and curried mussels.
