Reviews Summary

Hub St Ives is celebrated for its outstanding gourmet burgers, often hailed as the best ever tasted, and the vibrant atmosphere enhanced by stunning harbour views. While the food receives widespread praise, some guests have noted that fries can occasionally be undercooked, and a few experienced issues with table cleanliness or service speed during busy periods.

"I had this place on my to go list before coming to St. Ives and I’m glad I went. I had the bacon cheeseburger with extra candied jalapeños and it was amazing! Fries weren’t up to much and a bit pale, could have maybe been cooked a bit longer. The Paloma Sour cocktail was nice and strong too."

Megan

"I had a late lunch here and was seated without any difficulty. The restaurant wasn't crowded for a weekend winter afternoon. The food was decent; the burger was cooked well, and the garlic parmesan chips were average. The staff were wonderful throughout our visit. Most noteworthy was the relaxing ambiance and the amazing view. I would happily dine here again."

Jude Mantua

"Thank you so much, highlight of my stay in St Ives! I was around for a bit longer and came back a few times as I loved the burgers (dirty disco was the favourite), and the staff were super nice ☺️ so why go elsewhere? they recognised me already my second time, and were very accommodating despite me travelling alone (which is not welcome everywhere in the busy summer season) and never booking ahead. Picture doesn't do the burger justice, got to try!"

Burgers are made with Cornish rare beef, and hotdogs seasoned with paprika, nutmeg and black pepper. The beer list draws brews from Bristol Beer Factory, Camden Town Brewery and – indeed – Brooklyn Larger, (they even offer a taster menu, too.) During the day, homemade cakes are served alongside flat whites, iced coffee and ‘babyccinos’.

The Hub bar has become the place we tend to visit first and most often for drinks in St Ives, and we’ve had some some of the best beers here from breweries like Black Flag and Wild Beer Co. On the most recent visit though, every beer was from Harbour Brewery, with the exception of one cask from St Austell’s small batch range. Now, we like Harbour’s beers, and the Hub’s house beers have always been brewed by Harbour, but it would be a shame if the choice was limited to only their beers (this may have been a one-off).

The 29 Best Gluten-Free Lunch Spots in Saint Ives

We visited The Hub while on our holiday last week and have nothing but positive things to say!. We popped in to order takeaway and were treated so well by both members of staff who dealt with us (one who I believe to be the manager). Both my partner and I have dietary requirements and nothing was too much trouble, a member of staff even nipped to a local shop to ensure we had gluten free buns for the burgers we ordered.
