Our personal favourite is Sharkey’s located in Penbeagle Industrial Estate right opposite Matthew Steven’s fish merchants, so the fish is catch of the day fresh and the chips light, fluffy and moreish!. Just a word of advice, most fish and chips takeaways close by 8pm so be sure to plan around that.

A delicacy associated with a day by the sea, Harbour Fish and Chips is the best place to sit inside a restaurant and enjoy the British classic in St Ives complete with a sea view, of course. As the name suggests, this sea view restaurant is wonderfully positioned on St Ives. Harbour serves up some of the best fish and chips in town, using local fishmongers and potatoes from Cornish farms.

After a busy day at the gorgeous St Ives beach, treat yourself to a spot of fish and chips at this perfectly situated beachside chippy. Served alongside the stunning views, you can enjoy locally caught fish and seafood, with battered and grilled options available. Aside from a classic portion of fish and chips, there are also scallops, muscles, squid and more to choose from.

This is the place to go for delicious fish and chips with the most amazing view!. As well as the usual cod and haddock, you can also order battered hake, lemon sole, sea bass and mackerel fillets!. And for my partner, who is gluten intolerant, all fish can be ordered grilled (rather than battered) as a gluten free option.

This place is located at the very end of Wharf Road, down where most of the boat trips set off from. The fish and chips are reasonably priced for a good-sized portion and best of all, you can get a takeaway and eat them overlooking the harbour. Just watch out for the hungry seagulls.

In St Ives, you can enjoy the blissfully quiet beaches of Porthmeor, Porthgwidden, Harbour and Porthminster. Take an early morning walk along Porthminster at low tide all the way to the harbour and the lifeboat station, then pause by a cafe for a hot coffee and piping pasty.

Harbour Fish & Chips – a firm favourite, so good and as the name suggests located on the harbourfront. This was the most expensive fish & chips we have ever eaten but my goodness they were good.

Take out fish and chips is an absolute must while on holiday in Cornwall. The fish is fresh, chips are hot and covered in vinegar. Its the ideal spot for enjoying at harbour beach.
