What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Seafood Ristorante is praised for its exceptional seafood, stunning sea views, and friendly, knowledgeable service, making it a standout fine dining experience. While many find the food and ambiance worth the price, a few reviewers noted the cost as being quite high for the portion sizes, and some experienced service that felt a bit too attentive. It's considered a perfect spot for special occasions and those seeking top-quality Scottish seafood with an Italian touch.
"If your looking for some place special this is it. The food and service was amazing. We'll definitely be back again. Thank you for making our first visit so memorable."

"The restaurant itself has a beautiful location by the sea, and I imagine is a very romantic date night spot. We saw the high recommendations, and decided to stop here for a late lunch. Staff seemed annoyed that we didn’t have a reservation, and overall service was quite slow.
The food is presented well and tasted good, but not so good that it justified the price tag. Portions are small. Despite being lunch time we were only provided the dinner menu and its associated surcharge. Maybe you’re paying for the view? The best thing I ordered was the caviar. I would consider dining again to give it another chance, but wouldn’t recommend to others based on our first experience."

"One of the classic fine dining spots of St Andrews and has been for 15 years plus!
Perched in a modern glass cube over the ocean, it has stunning sea views and super modern decor.
The food is delicious- they offer a set menu for lunch which is usually worth doing (significantly cheaper than a la carte and just as delicious). Great ingredients, cooked simply but with flair and attention to flavour.
We had a heritage tomato salad with goats cheese stuffed courgette flower, and confit sea trout in a seafood bisque. Amaaaaazing.
Service is friendly and informed - great advice on wines and friendly ambience.
Perfect for a special occasion."

Scottish-Italian owner Stefano keeps the emphasis on prime Scots seafood while adding il bel paese flourishes and menu staples like risotto, agnolotti (stuffed pasta pockets), and cicchetti (Venetian-style tapas). The open-plan layout and kitchen make for a buzzy atmosphere, but insist on a sea-view table for serene views.
