What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Adamson receives praise for its expertly crafted cocktails and stylish, contemporary atmosphere. While many enjoy the beautifully presented, seasonal dishes and attentive service, some diners find the menu limited and the prices high for the portion sizes. Service can be excellent, but occasional lapses have been noted.
"Very nice lunch. We had 3 courses. Good value, nice setting. Very pleasant staff. My husband had the pork belly starter, unfortunately I didn't get a photo. Calamari, Steak Sandwich, Pea Risotto and Strawberry Cheesecake 🍓😋"

"Absolutely sublime. Read the reviews and was a little worried arriving. I have to say, our experience was perfect in every respect. The cocktails were amazing and prepared with skill by the expert young female mixologist. I had the crab starter which was to die for. Chicken and fillet mains that were both perfect. Bottle of superb Malbec which was smooth and silky. The serving staff were young and showed the skills of seasoned professionals. Well done The Adamson. We will be back soon 👏👏👏👏"

"We dropped by for a quick pint and some nibbles after visiting St Andrews. We were the only ones in their outdoor seating area which felt a bit weird since nearby places were mobbed, but it was fine for us. Their beer selection is very limited, with only a handful of boring beers available so -1 star for that. The nibbles we got were fairly pricy so figured we'd get decent portions, but they were tiny, so -1 star again. The service was friendly though and the nibbles were tasty so it wasn't all bad. Overall an ok experience, but I'm not sure I'd drop by again."

A Definitive Guide to Every Bar in St Andrews
While my passion for a good drink overflows, my wallet does not, and as a result I can’t reasonably judge these locations. BrewDog is new to town and reportedly has a good selection of beers (with only one of them being below £5 per pint), the Adamson has good cocktails apparently, and Rogue does Gin, but I refuse to go in out of respect for it being the final resting place of Drouthy Neighbours.
