Reviews Summary

St Andrews Brewing Co. garners praise for its friendly staff, educational brewery tours, and a great selection of well-crafted beers, including the highly recommended Yippie IPA. Diners enjoy the cozy pub atmosphere, which is welcoming to families and dogs. However, some reviews mention that the food can be overpriced and have been of poor quality, with one instance of finding a hair in a burger and another of improperly measured Prosecco.

"Went on a St Andrews Brewery tour today whilst on a weekend break. Would highly recommend. Graeme was very friendly and knowledgeable and it was great fun learning about the brewing process. Really enjoyed all of the beers we tasted despite not being a huge beer drinker. Visited the pub in St Andrews for a few beers and will definitely be back and will recommend to friends x"

Gillian Fraser

"Great efforts have been made to present an attractive and informal ambience in this marquee outside the brewing company headquarters. It is open ended and therefore "outdoors", but there are high mounted down heated to assist with comfort. They can supply Pizza's and naturally, their beer is very good. We had a great lunch and staff were friendly and communicative."

Malcolm R L McDougall

"Had a great tour from Graham who was engaging and knowledgeable. He gave us tasters of the different stages of brewing too - a really good experience! Would recommend for anyone even if you're not wildly into beer as it's interesting to know how it's produced"

The Pubs of St Andrews – FORE Magazine

When we visited in 2019, the St Andrews Brewing Company had two locations, but the lively pub on North Street, unfortunately, has closed. Nevertheless, the St Andrews oatmeal stout at the original location on South Street remains unrivaled. A relative newcomer in the local pub scene (the brewery was founded in 2012), the pub has plenty of open space, which differs from many of the more established pubs, and booths are often filled with some of the 9,100 students at the University of St Andrews (founded 1413).

A Definitive Guide to Every Bar in St Andrews

It’s a taste I have yet to acquire, as spending time and money trying to make myself like a beverage is low on my priority list at the moment. So, this particular opinion is not my own but a conclusion I have come to after extensive research (I asked my flatmate). St Andrews Brew Co has an extensive selection of craft beers both brewed in house, in Scotland and further afield.
