Reviews Summary

Rozis Curry House is celebrated for its authentic and delicious Indian food, with many diners praising the flavorful curries and friendly service. While the upstairs dining area is described as small and the atmosphere less polished than some, the quality of the food often makes up for it. Diners also appreciate the unique BYOB policy and the convenience of a nearby cash machine, though some note the cash-only system and occasional order discrepancies.

"Do not judge this place by internal appearance - the food is fantastic.
We are staying in a cottage in the village, and had a copy of the takeaway menu to hand - The first thing I noticed was it wasn't a bog standard "Indian Take Away Menu" - Lots of dishes on there that I hadn't come across before, and options a plenty.
We phoned for a take away pretty last minute on a Saturday Evening at 7.30, but got a collection slot for 8.20 which wasn't too a long a wait considering.
After a quick pint in the Devonshire across the street, we wandered over at 8.15 and patiently waited for our order to be ready.
Clearly it was being made pretty much fresh to order, and there wasn't a hint of reheated or microwaving.
Collected our order, got it back to the cottage and I can say everything was fantastic - Three different curries all with varying flavours and spice pallets, home made onion bhajis were excellent, and the Naan light and fluffy.
In terms of value for money, we spent just £44.70 to feed three of us until we were utterly stuffed!
Hats off to Rozis - we may even be back later this week!"

"We are regular visitors to Grassington and we make sure we order from Rozis whenever we stay there. It’s only a small establishment but the guys are really friendly and polite. Out of all of the times we have visited and had food to take out we have always had a really good experience with lovely food (with the exception of 1 time about 5 years ago where it fell below its usual standards but we gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried again and wasn’t disappointed).
Takeout choices are limited if you are staying in Grassington but this is well worth a try."

"We went into Rozis on a whim (literally flipped a coin between this and a nearby pub); unfortunately, fate really steered us wrong here.

We should have cut our losses when the man at the counter seemed shocked that we wanted to eat in rather than take away. He reluctantly led us upstairs to a dimly lit dining room where we were the only guests. We ordered food and drinks; there was no drinks menu, but they had various soft drinks (which turned out to be poured into tiny glasses half-flat from bottles in a mini fridge). The tablecloths were stained and there was some random tinfoil on the table next to us, and the man who led us up and who seemed to be the sole front of house staff put on what appeared to be a badly recorded cassette mix tape of Indian music.

At this point, we just hoped the food might be nice enough to overcome the questionable atmosphere. Things started promising with some really delicious pickle and popadoms, but the curries were just okay and the lemon rice was bitter with too much rind. We finished our meal (I left half my curry) and got out of there as quickly as we could.

All in all, it was a pretty unpleasant experience. Honestly, they're probably quite decent as a takeaway, but if they don't want to run a sit-down restaurant, why have the option?"
