Reviews Summary

The Bow Window Cafe is praised for its charming atmosphere, friendly service, and a delightful garden area. Diners enjoy homemade treats, including gluten-free options, and a welcoming vibe. However, some visitors have experienced issues with food temperature, pricing, and order accuracy, leading to mixed feelings about value and consistency.

"I was really impressed with our visit to the The Bow Window Cafe in Lenham. We popped in on a midweek lunch time, it was really busy and deservedly so. All the staff are really helpful and friendly, they try hard to accommodate everyone and their individual needs. The website says they are dog friendly and it's true, my dog even got a little treat. I thought the price was good value for the quantity of food that you got. The hot chocolate tasted really nice and chocolatey, they also made it with an alternative milk for me. My toasted sandwich was so delicious and filling, the brie was nice and gooey. I have to mention the toilets which were super clean despite the amount of people using them. I think I'd try and book when I go again, just to guarantee that I can eat there. It's situated right near Lenham Square car park but watch the 2 hour limit for parking."

"Tea room in Lenham,Kent. Serves a range of sandwiches and paninis and of course lots of cake. They open for breakfast and also have a selection of larger plates for lunch with daily specials. On the inside there are a couple of dining areas and there's a sofa too!
There is table service and apart from cakes the food is all cooked fresh. The doorstep sandwiches were tasty and had a generous filling, as it was just lunch tbh I didn't have room for cake. The lady who took my order was friendly, my coffee arrived within 5 minutes and my sandwich followed about 10 minutes later. There is a nice ambience to the place and they were quite full at about 2pm on a Saturday, they close at 3pm.
There is parking nearby, the village car park was full but I parked just 5 minutes away.
There are vegetarian options and alternatives milks.
A pleasant way to spend an hour and the village is nice to have a stroll around"

"Nestled in the village of Lenham, The Bow Window Cafe is a delightful spot that offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're stopping by for a leisurely breakfast, a light lunch, or a cozy afternoon tea, this cafe delivers on quality and comfort.
The menu is simple yet thoughtfully curated, featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Their homemade cakes are a standout, perfectly paired with a well-brewed coffee or tea. The service is friendly and attentive, making every visit feel special.
One of the highlights is the cafe’s commitment to catering to different dietary needs, offering vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. The outdoor seating adds to the charm, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
If you're in the Maidstone area, The Bow Window Cafe is definitely worth a visit. Whether you're a local or just passing through, you'll find yourself wanting to return for another taste of their delicious offerings"

The Bow Window in Lenham is a fairly new cafe, with lots of friendly faces. I love how casual it is there, you can sit up at a table or get cosy on the sofa!. We loved the place so much we ended up having breakfast too – the eggs royale was soooo scrummy, just uploading our photos is making us want to go back!
