What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Diners consistently praise The Haughmond for its welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food, with many highlighting the quality of both meals and the vegetarian tasting menu. Some guests have noted that prices can be a bit high, and there have been isolated instances of minor service issues, such as missing toast.
"What a find! I met a friend here for lunch, it's half way for us, both travelling an hour and a half. I ate here about 7 years ago with my mum and remembered how dog friendly they were. I took my well behaved lab x Springer and they were brilliant with her, offering water and giving her treats with my permission. The staff were outstanding and the food delicious. We had the 3 course 'set menu' at £24.95. I had mushroom terrine and my friend had goat's cheese tart. I then had the fish pie and she had steak and fries. We both had the sticky toffee pudding followed by coffee. This is such a lovely place, nice and cosy but bright room with decent parking. We will definitely go back, loved it. Beautiful building."

"We were met with a warm welcome at The Haughmond when visiting for an evening meal. The people serving us were lovely with our young children. We enjoyed drinks in the garden before going inside to enjoy delicious and beautifully cooked food. I had a the cod which was very enjoyable. The children meals were well received, we all especially enjoyed the chunky chips. Welcoming, pleasant surroundings, great food and beautiful location. We look forward to visiting again."

"went for Sunday morning breakfast; service was friendly and welcoming.
However, no toast served with both breakfasts and it was listed on the menu. The server stated when serving the toast will follow, it didn’t, a few minutes later we were told it would arrive and it never did. Missing toast from both a full breakfast and scrambled eggs is quite a big thing."
