"We visited il Piatto yesterday evening for the 1st time and thoroughly enjoyed our visot. Sum (apologies if spelt incorrectly) was hard working, attentive & friendly. The food was outstanding & the bottle of red we chose complemented the food we ordered perfectly. Reasonable priced too. The ambience was delightful with lounge music in the background allowing conversation to be heard between us both. Thank you, we look forward to returning. Wendy & Gary xx"

"Service took ages, I feel as thou I've aged 10 years.
Started took nearly 40 minutes from ordering to come.
Main was swimming in sauce, far too much, veg was cold and the sauce had formed a thin skin layer on it so it has obviously stood somewhere for time.
Got the bill paid fast thou.
Overall won't be back, Tuscany too was far better when that was open.
We a really tried to cancel the main as we were sick of waiting but coincidentally it was nearly all ready.
Not good, not recommended and far better elsewhere."

"We had a meal here for the first time. Got to say the food is absolutely delicious. Don’t go for fast food cos you won’t get it. The service is quite slow but there was only one lady taking orders and serving drinks. More staff would help but that’s only an observation. The food is well worth the wait. We had starters and mains and were blown away by the quality . If you have the time then give this place a go. Highly recommended."

09/06/2021: We always come here when we want the proper Italian experience.The restaurant is always full and has a great buzzy atmosphere,With people laughing and enjoying themselves, it is a happy place.The menu is varied and has a great selection of dishes to choose from.We have a few starters which we all share and may be a pizza , which is made with homemade dough and cooked in a wood burning pizza oven so it has that wonderful smoky taste.Then we have steaks , we have a few and share them with some potatoes which are simply amazing and some sauces.The steaks are chargrilled which is the best way to cook steak in my opinion and they have such a great taste and are so tender and always cooked to perfection.For dessert again we have a selection which we all help ourselves to the Ricotta cheese cake is fantastic and so is the Tiramisu.The service is relaxed and friendly as you would expect from a small Italian restaurant.What makes the place different from other Italian restaurants is that it has a soul and of course Paolo the man himself.He makes the place with his wonderful personality and welcoming attitude , nothing is too much trouble for him.So if you want a great authentic Italian experience with fantastic food, cooked well and great service, this is the place to go. 09/06/2021: The owner Paolo is a rear character. He brings such a fun and warm atmosphere to the restaurant.
