Scott's Richmond is celebrated for its opulent seafood, stunning riverside terrace, and elegant ambiance. Diners frequently praise the attentive service and fresh, flavorful dishes. However, some guests have noted issues with billing transparency and occasional service lapses during busy periods or for special occasions.
"I went for lunch with a friend on Friday and we had such a lovely experience. We had a table reserved and tried the set menu — the food was so fresh and packed with flavour. The drinks menu was also great, with a really good range of non-alcoholic options. The atmosphere was absolutely stunning, like stepping into another world, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon — can’t wait to come back!"

"Perfect spot for a relaxed weekend lunch. The terrace offers lovely seating with a nice river view—though the sun was a little strong. Service was top notch and everything we ordered was great. The sea bass, in particular, was excellent. I’d definitely return."

"As a photographer, Scots Richmond is such a hidden gem to work at. Tucked away in the beautiful surroundings of Richmond, it offers a lovely mix of charm, character, and style. The space has this warm, intimate feel while still being elegant, which creates the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed yet classy wedding day.
From a photography point of view, there are so many great backdrops to work with whether it’s the stylish interiors, the natural light filtering through the windows, or the nearby greenery for outdoor portraits.
The team at Scots Richmond are also fantastic super helpful, kind, and genuinely care about making the day run smoothly for everyone involved.
It’s definitely one of those venues I’m always happy to return to.
Lots of Love

The 20 Best Fancy Fine Dining Restaurants In London - London
From the doormen in top hats, to the grand silver columns in the art deco-inspired dining room, this extravagant seafood spot in Richmond is so larger than life that we half expect Jay Gatsby to make an appearance on the terrace during one of their midweek jazz nights. Your glass of water will be refilled promptly, your seafood tower will be just as OTT as it sounds, and the rest of the food tastes as incredible as the view from the terrace. The best part is this place doesn’t turn its nose up on classics like fish and chips, and we’re glad because it’s one of our favourite versions of the dish in the city.
20 Best Outdoor Restaurants in London For 2025 For Alfresco Dining
This is the Twickenham outpost of storied Mayfair seafood spot Scott’s. Why we love it: For the frankly gorgeous terrace, which looks out over the Thames, as well as a big budget menu of oysters, crab, caviar and plenty of Champagne to wash it all down with. You'll need plenty of cash to splash, we recommend you do so on lobster thermidor.
12 Of The Best: The Best Restaurants In Richmond, London
Ideal for an opulent seafood feast, champagne, oysters and all…. Whittaker Avenue’s sprawling Revolution Bar site never quite felt in keeping with the vibe of Richmond residents, and it’s hard to imagine the status-obsessed folk of this affluent London district necking a shot of Sambuca and belting out Don’t Stop Believin’ on a Tuesday night. Nope, line caught fish and lines of fish scale are more the thing ‘round these parts, so it should come as little surprise that the absurdly opulent second coming of Mayfair seafood institution Scott’s has fitted in perfectly over in residential Richmond.
London’s 26 best restaurant terraces, from Scott’s to Tamarind
The terrace of the original Mayfair Scott’s has long been one of London’s more reliable celebrity spots, even if the famous faces these days are more likely to be strolling past on the pavement than sitting down to a plateau de fruits de mer. This outside area of this new-ish Richmond outpost is an altogether different kettle of fish, a strip of decking high above the Thames with views of the leafy riverbanks towards Twickenham and Richmond bridges. The seafood-focused menu is thankfully sourced from a little further afield: Devon crab, chalk-stream trout, Cornish sole.
London’s 15 finest outdoor restaurants and terraces for alfresco-dining in the sunshine
When it comes to the best London outdoor restaurants, you can’t beat a spot of riverside dining. Scott’s made a big splash when it opened up in Richmond in 2022, bringing a heady dose of glamour to this leafy London borough. While the grand two-storey dining room is a sight to behold, those in the know prefer to eat their oysters and Devon crab on the outdoor terrace, which offers stunning views over the river and the verdant riverbanks towards Richmond and Twickenham Bridges.
Al Fresco Dining In London
With jaw-droppingly glitzy interiors decked out with Venetian glass chandeliers, mirrored ceilings and a centrepiece raw bar, Scott’s Richmond would have to pull something pretty spectacular out the bag to lure you outside. Which is why their version of al fresco dining is a raised riverside botanical garden terrace, with sweeping views and flower-laden tables that bask in the sunshine.
