Loved the soft shell crab burger! I didn’t intent to order this at first but am so glad I changed my mind. It’s surprisingly good and portion was not small with a reasonable price. We don’t live around Hathersage but for sure will come back again next time, even just for the crab burger!"

"We dine in without any reviews searching, just because of way back from Derwent Dam , saw very sharp orange colour parasols, and found a public car opposite area .
While sit on felt good for the outside dining area , and foods menu look interesting,first time saw soft-shell crab dishes on Pub foods .
Delicious beyond my expectations on both meals . My wife meals with real King-prawn . They with a very high standard chef and kitchen team member . Thank you for let us with a gorgeous lunch .
Servicing staff also very good .

"Boxing Day after a walk round Hathersage we called into the Bank House sat outside in the teepee nice and festive. The food menu looks good, but we only called in for hot drinks. Will call in for food when next in the area."

Peak District Sunday Roast: 7 Of The Best
Found in the heart of the Peak District, among the beautiful village of Hathersage, the Bank House is a fantastic place to enjoy a casual meal – with a great Sunday roast on offer, too. The former bank, as the name probably gave away, is loved for its live music and cocktails, however, on Sundays, the lively venue serves up a choice of pork, Derbyshire beef, roast leg of lamb and a nut roast, alongside show-stopping sharing boards for two. Each roast comes with huge Yorkshire puddings, seasonal veggies, cauliflower cheese and plenty of gravy, but the highlight for us is their whopper of a cote de boeuf sharing board, boasting 21-day aged thick-cut rib-eye on the bone with all the trimmings.

Buzzy cocktail bar downstairs (complete with chic après tipi in the festive season transformed into a Mediterranean pavement café in the summer) and intimate dining room upstairs, Bank House’s rural location belies it’s chic, city sophistication. AD I was recently invited to review the autumn menu at Bank House and it has shot straight into one of my favourites. Absolutely everything about our visit was spot on. The food was insanely good, the service was really welcoming (and not at all stuffy) and just the general ambiance hit all the right notes.

I have yet to try it but apparenlty their baked cookie dough desert is to die for...Inspired by the Mediterranean but proudly local, Bank House brings you great food and drink in an upbeat relaxed environment.

Some people prefer Macdonald's burgers to a gourmet burger at a restaurant so all I can say is I enjoy freshly made food made from fresh ingredients and cooked well and with care and presented well. Also good customer service. My experience was all of the above and so I highly recommend it.
