The renovated Waterfront Fishouse has seabass ravioli and scallops from Mull, while Ee-usk has fantastic seafood platters. Poppies Garden Centre & Tea Room is the best for a very relaxing lunch or afternoon by the sea. Seafood platters and cakes, all homemade, are the speciality here.

We chose to try scallops, instead of fish, since we had never have fried scallops before. They are huge and juicy inside. The chips are also huge and soft inside.

Etive on Stevenson Street has a good reputation, as does Ee-Usk at the North Pier. But sometimes, only fish and chips will do. Especially at the seaside.

The ‘Spoons overlooking the front has real log fires, but also visit other characterful pubs such as the Oban Inn. People are very friendly.
