What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Strangers Coffee Company is celebrated for its exceptionally high-quality, ethically sourced coffee, often described as the best in Norfolk. Many patrons love the cozy atmosphere and friendly, welcoming staff, alongside unique offerings like espresso tonics. However, some reviews mention an inconsistent service experience and that the coffee is served ready-to-drink, which might not suit everyone's preference for hotter beverages.
"DIDNOT TRY FOOD.
Coffee shop recommended to us by Sevenoaks hi fi store. If the locals recommended it, then it must be good.
Lovely coffee, really smooth, hot, creamy latte. Pity there is no star mark for drinks cos this place is a 10 plus.
For such a small place the place was really clean, especially the loo. Great team behind the till and can't wait yo try the coffee at home."
David Pierce
"A local coffee shop rather than an identikit chain, which is never a bad thing. If you're lucky enough to get a window seat it's a brilliant place to sit and watch the world go by.
Good coffee and good food too."
Steve Webb
"We popped in for a coffee and ‘breakfast’ which turned out to be the most gorgeous chocolate brownie ever known to man! The decaf coffee was excellent (when sometimes it isn’t) the staff sweet, a nice atmosphere throughout, clean and great loo and facilities.
Unfortunately we had a three hour drive afterwards home so can’t become a regular..thoroughly recommend to anyone in the area."

Norwich | Brian's Coffee Spot
If I randomly picked an English city where I’d expected to find a vibrant coffee scene with one of the country’s top coffee shops, it wouldn’t be Norwich. Perhaps this is just a result of my ignorance, but tucked away in East Anglia, down the narrow streets of Norwich’s historic city centre, something very special is going on, and Strangers Coffee House is at the heart of it. With a south-facing aspect on the broad Pottergate, the late summer sunshine was showing Strangers off to the best possible effect.
Norwich's Specialty Coffee Scene
Strangers Coffee is a favourite among the central locals and is always super busy, for good reason. Their coffee shop is found on Pottergate, with the roastery just around the corner on Dove St. If you’re going for some freshly roasted beans or a takeaway, I recommend heading to the roastery, where you will find a wall of coffee, equipment, merchandise and a 2-group Conti Monte Carlo for all your take-out needs. The guys here are super friendly and always up for a good chat, so don’t be shy!.

Stacks of sourdough loaves line the walls; the bakery counter is piled high with glistening hand-laminated pastries and savoury bakes, while the generous slices of cake in the fridge are hard to resist.
