Shipwrights in Padstow is highly praised for its delicious food, particularly the fish and chips and Sunday roast, with many reviews highlighting the friendly and attentive service. Diners appreciate the historic pub atmosphere and the lovely harbour views, though some note it can be a bit pricey. It's a popular spot for both locals and visitors, with a special mention for its welcoming attitude towards dogs.

"We were so glad to find this pub, serving a good selection of great beer and really tasty food, topped off by a friendly team of staff."

Tony Bates (babblingbates)

"We all really enjoyed our Sunday dinner, beef brisket. The portions were a very good size with all of the veg and trimmings, we also got the pigs in blankets which were the perfect addition. The Yorkshire puddings were unreal 😍 they were massive and went perfectly with the gravy. The service we received was phenomenal, and the staff were very friendly. The atmosphere of the pub was very lovely and enjoyable. Would 100% recommend and come back in the future."

Jess Blay

"The team at Shipwrights were so friendly and welcoming, creating a warm, cosy atmosphere where everyone was having a great time.

Shipwrights is also dog-friendly in every sense of the word. Our dogs were able to sit with us throughout the meal and loved meeting the staff, which made the experience even more special. They enjoyed all the fuss – and the biscuits!

Such a beautiful spot in Padstow. Great food, quality drinks, lovely people, and a relaxed vibe – the perfect way to round off our holiday. We’ll be back!"

Pub Crawling in Padstow

The Shipwrights felt a bit like a pub-themed fast food restaurant, with that particularly lurid orange wood finish that too often characterises modern pub refits, and we didn’t like being cleaned up around (at 9:30!), though the barmaid who served us was very chatty and pleasant. There were more fruit machines than customers. Tribute and Proper Job were in decent enough nick, too.
