EL&N has now landed in Newcastle located in @fenwickofficial on the ground floor. They are opening their doors tomorrow and it’s definitely one to visit! Now I was already a massive fan of @elan_cafe from visiting in London so was so excited for this opening. As always the interiors in here are lush but the food is even better! We sampled some of the menu and we couldn’t fault a thing. Attentio...

Reviews Summary

Cafe 21 Fenwick is celebrated for its refined atmosphere and high-quality food, particularly its afternoon tea and brunch items. While many praise the attentive and friendly staff, some reviewers note issues with service attentiveness and an automatically added service charge. Occasional complaints about food quality or presentation have been noted, but the overall sentiment leans positive for its chic ambiance and delicious offerings.

"Absolutely wonderful, what a find. I was struggling to get a good coffee, I went to my trusted one last time I was in town and the coffee was bitter and my croissant was old. Here everything was delightful. The girl who greeted and served me was outstanding, when I said I just wanted a coffee she smiled took me in and took my coffee order immediately. She could see i had exhausted myself shopping. I decided on the toast basket, it was delicious, beautiful thin slices of sourdough, brioche and fruit bread, three gorgeous jars of preserve and lovely butter. Enough for two but I took away the fruit bread, again she got me a little box with a smile and no bother. This will now be my go to. I have found the 21 group late, I went to St Vincent's last month and it was excellent too."

"When you need a break from shopping & don't want to go to one of the "trendier" food bars in their food hall, come here.
It's on the 1st floor of Fenwick & there were several tables free when we visited (even though Xmas shopping was at it's peak.)
The tea & coffees were nice & it was great that they give you a long enough teaspoon for stirring in your tall latte glass (not many places do!)
We had a simple crab sandwich & a Croque Monsieur (without additional egg.) Both very tasty."

Julie Manning

"All roads may lead to Rome, but in Eldon Square they all seem to end at Cafe 21.
No hard sell here good food, friendly staff and a buzz that speaks for itself.
Always busy, always worth it ❤️"
