They do have a family-friendly kids menu, welcoming families at this establishment, but the real reason families should head to The Old Stations Tearooms is for a delightful day cycling along the Castleman’s Corkscrew – of course, this is only for energetic doggos who can keep up with bikes. This disused railway line now offers a cycle route between Brockenhurst and Burley, a fun family activity to try during your holiday, and these tearooms provide the ideal pit stop along the way. Your pup will enjoy the chance for a long walk as well as the foodie stop at The Old Station.

If you don’t mind working up an appetite, hire a bike from Burley and cycle to The Old Station Tearooms along the old, disused railway tracks. The converted station has tonnes of cool memorabilia on display, plus an extensive kids menu (not to mention scrummy afternoon teas). Hartnett Holder & Co at Lime Wood Hotel is open to non residences and serves delicious Italian food in a super stylish yet relaxed setting where children are warmly welcomed.

The specials board is never the same two days running at the Station House. From the baked pork belly to the steamed fillet of sea bass, the tea room endeavors to offer only the freshest local produce that you can enjoy either outside in the garden, or under the shade of the station canopy. For dessert there’s the famous gluten-free fruit scones with a dollop of local cream.

The Old Station Tearooms: This tea room offers a selection of delicious, homemade, and freshly cooked foods including vegetarian and vegan dishes. The menu offers a selection of tasty meals, all cooked fresh to order and available every lunchtime. They also serve the perfect Cream Tea, with freshly made scones, gorgeous thick cream, and a choice of jams.

The kids will love this place – an old converted railway station with lots of memorabilia to look at. There’s an extensive children’s menu, as well as cream teas and homemade cakes for parents. If you fancy working up an appetite, you could cycle here from the village of Burley along the disused railway line – a popular route in the summer.

The Old Station Tearooms is nestled in the New Forest and is the perfect place to visit for breakfast before hitting the nearby walking and cycling paths through our heathland and woodland. From a Full English Breakfast to a quick sausage sandwich and cup of coffee, there are many options for a tasty breakfast.

Afternoon Tea: One round of finger sandwiches, fruit or plain scone with Dorset clotted cream and Tiptree preserve or a cheese and chive scone with cream cheese and chutney. Plus your choice of a homemade patisseries or a slice of handmade cake and either a tea or coffee. When: Served all day

Dogs are welcome in the covered and all outside areas, with refreshments available for them too. Within the dog-friendly garden of this quaint tea room, you can sit, relax, and indulge in some homemade cakes, sandwiches, and hot drinks after a Forest ramble.

The Station House cream tea consists of one or two scones, choose from fruit or plain. Choose your Tiptree preserve; Apricot, Blackcurrant, Raspberry or Strawberry. All served with clotted cream and your choice of tea or Americano coffee.

8 of us went into the tearooms this lunchtime my daughter is coeliac plus diary free and lots of others allergies, one of the waitresses bent over backwards to find food that she could have she spent time with us going through everything.

Very busy place, nevertheless a great atmosphere both outside and inside. A fabulous staff who all helped greatly. We mostly had cream teas, which was massively generous and totally scrumptious.
