Reviews Summary
Diners rave about the Village Inn's stunning Loch views, friendly atmosphere, and delicious Scottish cuisine, particularly the lamb shank and seafood. While the food and views are consistently praised, some mention the exterior could use modernization and suggest reservations during busy periods to ensure prompt service.
"From the moment you step through the door, you’re greeted not just with the scent of freshly cooked comfort food, but with the unmistakable spirit of Scottish hospitality.
The menu is a celebration of classic Scottish cuisine, with modern touches that show real care and creativity.
But what truly sets this pub apart is the leadership of the manager, Alex. Attentive without being overbearing, Alex clearly runs a tight ship while making every guest feel like part of the family. Whether it’s recommending the perfect whisky or chatting with regulars at the bar, Alex’s passion for hospitality shines through in every detail.
Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this pub is the kind of place you’ll want to return to. Friendly faces, full plates, and a manager who genuinely cares—it’s what makes this spot not just a pub, but a community.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"A Hidden Gem in Arrochar – Worth the Detour!
While visiting Glasgow as German from Berlin, I decided to take a detour to Arrochar to experience a small Scottish village — and I’m so glad I did. The Village Inn is the heart of this charming place. It’s a small and cozy pub with a rustic atmosphere. The wooden floors creak in a comforting way, adding to its authentic charm.
The menu is well-balanced: not too big, but still offering a nice variety of freshly prepared dishes. My meal was absolutely delicious — clearly cooked fresh and full of flavor. You order and pay at the bar, and things like cutlery or ketchup are self-service, but that didn’t bother me. It’s all part of the relaxed pub vibe.
What really surprised me was how quickly the place filled up. For such a small village, it was buzzing — which speaks volumes about how much locals and visitors appreciate this spot. After just one visit, I can absolutely see why.
My interaction with the staff was brief but warm and friendly. I felt genuinely welcome.
This place is a must-visit for me on my next trip to Scotland. Highly recommended"

"This is a super friendly, well appointed, and clean place to stay. A shout out for the staff for their welcome and kindness. I mentioned that I liked the bread they had on the breakfast buffet and, as our next stop on our holiday was self catering, the staff member came out with slices in cling film so I could have toast there! As they sat, it’s the little things…."
