"Could not fault anything. Picturesque scenery while you dine, all servers, were polite and courteous. Bar staff were very welcoming and helpful, particularly the young man with curly hair. The food was absolutely fantastic, but what really prompted me to leave a review was the level of service. I cannot speak highly enough of the restaurant director/manager, he ensures wonderful service and endeavors to harbor a connection with each patron (remembering my name and details of very brief conversations had between meals). I was so impressed and we will absolutely be back on our next trip to Scotland!"

"We had a lovely table by the window, both for dinner and breakfast, with beautiful views over the loch. Peaceful, with just enough buzz in the restaurant. Good service and really excellent food which all tasted fresh and was perfectly cooked with one minor exception. Very highly recommended. Hotel room also very good indeed. Can't wait to go back!"

3: With regard to Luss restaurants, I recommend visiting Colquhoun’s Restaurant on the beach’s northern end. This eatery is a wee bit expensive but the food is fantastic and the view over Loch Lomond from the panoramic window is astounding. If you’d prefer a cheaper bite to eat, then you might like to grab a sandwich from one of the Luss shops near the Old Toll House car park or the visitor centre located to the north of the car park.

Obviously, I don’t visit places unless there’s a food-driven incentive and the Lodge on Loch Lomond seemed the ideal spot since it’s in-house restaurant, Colquhoun’s, boasted two AA rosettes. My car has virtually sat in the garage since March, so it was a welcome opportunity to give the engine a good work out; I do love a long drive after all.
