What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Diners frequently praise The George & Dragon for its excellent value, delicious food, and friendly, welcoming atmosphere, especially noting the burgers and fish and chips. While many highlight the pleasant beer garden and efficient service during off-peak hours, some reviews mention occasional issues with missing menu items, slow service during busy periods, and high soft drink prices.
"Stopped by for a meal before walking to Morfa Conwy beach. Sat outside in their lovely beer garden and enjoyed the burgers. We got there just before the lunchtime rush so was a very pleasant and efficient service. Burgers were delicious! Will definitely be returning in the not too distant future."
Emma Louise Stockwell
"Popped in for a quick drink & ended up staying for food, nice atmosphere in the place with nice real ale on draught.
Food was very good & tasty & served quickly.
Negatives were, one of our meals was missing an item described on the menu, garden needs a tidy & barman could have been more welcoming but overall a good experience"
Tandy Cat
"Edited review... The workers must have left the gate open because we walked in freely. They were super friendly and even showed us the door to walk thru. They did NOT say anything about renovations or tell us the pub was closed. They literally opened the door for us. When I walked by about 45 minutes later the signs were out front. I've edited the stars since I wasn't given the opportunity to enjoy the place but the woman could have been more cordial. That was our once in a life time trip to N Wales."
