In 2017 the team behind Independent Liverpool (discount card supporting Liverpool independent businesses) opened Liverpool’s first food hall featuring a raft of independent traders, some of which were established restaurants with pop ups and some were new businesses looking for their big break. From day one the Baltic Market has been and is consistently bustling with people and has helped breathe new life into Cains Brewery Village. Now jam-packed with bars and restaurants the Baltic Market is still our favourite food hall.

Baltic Market is one of our favourite places in all of Liverpool. Not just because it’s close to our student accommodation but because it’s a cool place to hang out and spend time. There are a few eateries here offering everything from waffles to halloumi.

Baltic Market is a popular street food market and the first of its kind in Liverpool with such a variety that the pickiest eaters are sure to find something. You’ll find unique dishes here like bubble waffles, halloumi fries and even a frozen gin slush.

VietNom started in 2018 with our first residency in the Baltic Market, Liverpool. After this we hosted dinner parties at The Bagelry and Mother Espresso which geared us up to want our own place. Which led to our first ‘brick and mortar’ in January 2020
