"Came here in 2019 and just getting round to doing a review.
Me and my partner were just exploring hull on a rainy day and basically came into this place by accident at lunch time. It had just opened so we were the only people in the restaurant.
The staff were really friendly and gave us a nice private table and let us look at the menu, they gave us plenty of space but were still attentive and kind.
I got the lobster whilst my partner got the scallops, both of which were perfectly cooked and delicious, some of the best we've had in the UK.
Overall just had such a nice atmosphere about it and as stated since it was such a memorable experience for us I thought I'd finally do a review."

"The food was okay, but we were a bit early to get any of the atmosphere as we were the only ones in. Had a prawn cocktail was nice. However, cocktail sauce was a bit watery, fish cakes were very nice, mains real monkfish scampi delicious, fish and chips nice chips were a bit to large. Overall, it was very good for a first visit."

Table booked only the day before, upon arrival we asked if we could swap to a table behind the fish tank and it caused no issue whatsoever (not a fan of being in the middle of an open space).
All staff was extremely pleasant and professional, responsive even at a very busy Friday service.
Food was fantastic, we didn’t have to wait long at all. And the rubber duckies are a phenomenal idea! 😊"
