The ambiance is generally pleasant, with outdoor seating offering beautiful scenery.
"We stopped by Lakeside Café after a boat trip on Derwentwater, and it was the perfect place to warm up and recharge. The hot chocolates were absolutely delicious – rich, creamy, and topped with a generous swirl of whipped cream and cocoa.
The café has a lovely, airy atmosphere with big windows overlooking the greenery – ideal for relaxing after a day out on the water. Friendly staff and a great selection of drinks and cakes.
Highly recommend for anyone visiting the lake – especially if you’re in need of a cosy treat!"

"Handy place close to Derwent Water, not a huge menu choice but probably better for it, really good bacon butty and a good brew."

"Tasty food and good location.
This restaurant is very close to the lake and a convenient place to eat if you plan on going out on a boat on Derwent Water.
We ordered from the breakfast menu and it was tasty. The croissants were good.
I did not like my coffee but everyone else thought theirs were fine.
The indoor decor is nothing special but when you sit outside you can see the lake and the boats.
We came on a weekday morning (not school holidays) and there were plenty of available tables at this time. Toilets were decent."

We had a light supper pre-theatre and I had a superb burger and Mum had garlic mushrooms on ciabatta. Have also been in with my young goddaughters for a light lunch before going on the Keswick Launch, as well as coffee and cake after coming off Derwentwater with other friends.
