Reviews Summary

The Mustard Seed Restaurant is highly regarded for its beautiful ambiance, set within a former church overlooking the River Ness. Diners praise the consistently good food, with mussels being a notable highlight. Service is generally attentive and friendly, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. While many find it a top choice in Inverness, some reviewers have noted that portion sizes can be small and the quality may not always match the higher prices.

"We stayed in Inverness for four nights and had two of our meals at the Mustard Seed Restaurant. WOW!! The building/renovation is gorgeous. We tried soup, appetizers, fish, pork loin, and dessert. Everything was top-notch. The flavors were finely blended and masterfully put together.
Each item was a culinary delight. Our servers, on both visits, answered any questions we had. The timing of the courses was perfect. We enjoyed our first meal there so much that we immediately made reservations for the next day. I believe the Mustard Seed was our favorite restaurant in Scotland! I would recommend it to anybody."

Brenda Miller

"This is a nice restaurant with some good lunch two course menus. The ork and fish dishes were quite tasty. The fish was good, and the complementing vegetables were good. The pork was also good, but nothing really stood out between either dish. The customer service was good, but there was some miscommunication between the staff as we got asked multiple times by different staff on what we would like to eat/drink. The atmosphere was good as well. Overall, this is a decent place with reasonable courses."

ベナクリス

"What a great find. We tried to walk in on Saturday evening but they were fully booked so we came back today for lunch. What lovely staff; everyone we encountered was smiling. Great menu, food delicious. We especially appreciated our waiter who was attentive, deft, cheerful and who only came over once to check how we were doing. Another recent restaurant visit was slightly marred by the frequency of "Is everything alright" which put our teeth slightly on edge! Today on the other hand, I was sure that we would have been able to catch our waiter's attention had we needed to. We had the hummus and the terrine for starters, the steak and chicken for mains and would recommend them all. Oh and our table upstairs had wonderful river views. All in all, a very enjoyable experience! We shall be back."

The conversion of the interior (which I’ve singularly failed to capture) has created a very appealing open space with many original features combined with modern styling. We visited for lunch twice during our time in Inverness and were seated downstairs both times. The large ground floor windows were open, letting in a lovely breeze on two warm summer’s days.
