During peak season our kiosks sell ice cream, donuts, waffles, cold drinks, burgers and hot dogs and will be open around the park (please check notice boards for opening hours).

Founded in 2015, Steep Street’s focus is on gourmet, artisan coffee. Located in the Folkestone’s Creative Quarter, the Steep Street’s interior looks like a miniature version of the library from Beauty and the Beast. They also sell packets of a wide range of coffee beans for when you want to sample the tastes at home.

This charming street is also home to a variety of unique shops and boutiques, making it a great spot for shopping and socializing.

Steep Street Coffee House is one of my favourite shops for two reasons; ONE being the amazing coffee and food, and TWO, the interiors are amazing!. The walls are covered in books and the furniture is so laid back and cosy. The lattes and mochas have been tried, tested and approved by myself!

Steep Street is our favourite coffee style shop but you’ll also find a Costa and Starbucks on the high street if that’s your preference, but personally as a proud descentant of a long line of high functioning alcoholics I personally only step inside for cake and wine!

Still amazing, this time we had a mint hot chocolate with coconut milk, fantastic flavour. Took home orange and almond cake as well as the gluten free peanut free bar which was also fantastic the flavour is sooooo good. So nice to have so many gluten free options.

Steep Street is the beautiful coffee shop half way up, or down, The Old High Street. People often confuse the name of the coffee shop with the name of the street as it’s so steep. They now sell their coffee beans for you to get your caffeine fix any day you like.

Steep Street Coffee House is a dog-friendly café located in Folkestone, UK. With menu items like specialty espresso drinks, cakes, baked goods and more, Steep Street Coffee House has a pick-me-up for everyone. Fido can join you for a snack at an outside table.

Steep Street on the Old High Street (OHS) is also very good, as is Harbour Coffee. I also often grab a coffee from Folklore on the OHS, or Gourmet Kitchen if I’m closer to the Leas. The Lift Cafe is another local fave near the shingle beach/Leas coastal park.

This popular little café near the top of the Old High Street has walls lined with bookshelves. Pull out a tome to read over an impeccably made coffee and a selection of mouth-watering cakes.

I loved wandering down Steep Street, even knowing that I’d be walking back up the hill on the way home.
