What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
This seafood restaurant is celebrated for its exceptionally fresh and high-quality dishes, with many reviewers praising the lobster, oysters, and langoustines. The BYOB policy is a significant draw, allowing diners to pair their meals with their favorite wines at a reasonable cost. While the intimate setting is appreciated, the small space means booking is essential.
"Fantastic seafood restaurant in Falmouth. It is a very intimate setting with limited tables. The smaller venue means the host and chef , who are both delightfull, can focus on great service and the food- which was fab! . Make sure you book!"
Gavin Thomas
"Exceptional seafood. The chef knows exactly what she is doing. Combine that with the freshest most sustainable fish choices and you are on to a winner. Dishes of note: oysters, langoustines, mussels, prawns, seabass. I wouldn't hesitate to order the lobster when in season because they know their stuff. Great with children- there may not be a kids menu but they will suggest options should you need. I mean, they let you bring your own wine, which with my family is a win in itself but seriously we are absolute foodies and this is a no brainer. But booking is essential."

"This is probably the best restaurant in Falmouth. Delicious food. Run by a lovely couple. Very reasonable prices. BYOB"

With previous spells cooking in some of London’s most prestigious kitchens, head chef Ken quit the Big Smoke for the shores of Falmouth in 2009 - and with good reason. The Symonds’ husband and wife team opened the intimate and homely restaurant Oliver’s to rave reviews and full-bookings. The restaurant recently changed hands to Matthew and Ceri Unwin-Springett with their four children and was given a brand new look (and name) in 2020.

Booked for steak & lobster night but had a text saying that due to recent bad weather there would be no lobster. We both had scallops & black pudding for starters,I had crab & prawn linguine, other half had lamb followed by sticky toffee pudding. I must say the food was amazing & plentiful & lovely relaxed service.
