"The girls behind the bar were amazing. Really welcoming, polite, friendly and helpful. They also have a cracking sense of humour.
The chef clearly loves his job. Very engaging. Happy to talk about his food. Actively seeking feedback. And it's clear he does love his job by his food. Both of our meals were delicious. Presentation was good and the flavours spot on. Pudding was even better. The toffee apple crumble was by far the best I've had.
Nice little selection of beer and a friendly pub.
Thanks to all. See you in the autumn. X"

"We arrived after a busy Sunday lunch service but were still greeted with a warm welcome after a long walk. We had a really hearty roast and received great service. The chef even came out to clear our empty plates and ensure we had enjoyed his well cooked meal. The dog was even treated too🐕😁"

"I ordered the Sunday roast which was priced at 18 but without the meat...
Dinner was fantastic and when I went to pay they gave a very generous discount because of no meat to about 10 pounds, very much appreciated because not everywhere will do that, it's good to be able to trust your server.
The good itself was lovely and very generous portions, I'm stuffed!"
