"Lovely pub with a warm welcome, friendly atmosphere and excellent food (and you can even stay there!)

Having had a good experience at the Notley Arms several years ago, we arranged to have Sunday lunch here with family and friends. We weren't disappointed!

There's a lot to be said for a place with a homely atmosphere and a warm welcome on arrival - and that's what this gem of a pub / restaurant offers. Simon and the team were friendly and helpful (even a bit cheeky at times, but all meant kindly). The food choice, speed of service, quantity and quality were all outstanding. We all had a lovely experience and would definitely return. In fact, they even have rooms - so they're now on our list of possible places to stay when in the area."

"Phenomenal roast dinner. We are staying in a cottage in the village and found out the pub was open on a Sunday in winter.
It was THE BEST roast chicken meal I've ever had.
Beautifully seasoned dish with moist chicken and tasty vegetables.
My husband had the beef and he's quite fussy with steaks, but he said it was mouth-wateringly delicious slices of steak cooked to perfection.
I would seriously consider driving here the hour and a half from home just for this pub!
The landlord was so friendly and funny, showing genuine interest without getting too bothersome.
Really lovely afternoon had by our family here."
