We do like to be beside the Eastbourne seaside and The Beach Deck can certainly boast the best “Beach Deck” in Eastbourne to wile away the time soaking up that fresh sea air. When Suzanne and I visited The Beach Deck on Eastbourne’s Royal Parade during our short break in Eastbourne, it was an overcast day at the beginning of April. We arrived quite early for lunch and it surprised me just how busy they soon became, considering it was Monday lunchtime.

The venue was nicely decorated, I appreciated the location really close to great restaurants as well as perfect for a quiet stay away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre, and sea views. My deluxe queen room had modern conveniences, including an iron and a kettle.

Located in Eastbourne’s Little Chelsea district, Skylark is a bright and spacious cafe by day and a relaxed candlelit restaurant by night. It serves a modern European menu bolstered by extraordinary seasonal Sussex produce.

If you want some beaut beachfront dining in Eastbourne, head to The Beach Deck which is at this end of the beach. The food here is delicious, and I’m a big fan of their chowder in particular.
