This option is great value as it includes steak and fries, beef burger and a classic parmo, yum. You can add all of our favourite sides for a little extra, including beef dripping chips, mac ‘n’ cheese and bacon ‘n’ cheese peas.

A classic Durham cocktail spot is The Boat Club below Elvet Bridge. They do two-for-one cocktails every day except Saturday afternoons, working out at between four and five pounds per drink — I personally recommend the Raspberry Collins. Plus, the outdoor seating has great views and is warm(ish) all year round thanks to the heaters.
