Reviews Summary

Diners consistently praise Wheeler's for its excellent fish and chips, featuring perfectly cooked fish and crispy batter. The friendly and attentive service, particularly from staff like Lauren and Jack, is frequently highlighted. However, some reviews mention long wait times and concerns about cleanliness during peak periods.

"We have been touring the British Isles for two weeks and this is one of the best traditional fish and chips off the entire trip. The Mac and cheese was delicious. Lauren and Jack M were the best servers; very attentive and and helpful."

Gordon Larson

"Stumbled across this place while looking for somewhere to eat and we weren't disappointed. The service was great, the food was good. I had the fish and chips with mushy peas, absolutely lovedddd the chunky chips. Had the deliciously moorish victoria sponge cake for dessert with a chai tea latte. The staff were friendly, professional and attentive. I'll definitely be back. The view from our table was tranquil"

Miss Ama

"Visited Wheeler’s yesterday during a quick trip to Dover. Perfect fish and chips! The batter was crispy and fried just right and the fish was perfectly cooked. Staff were very helpful! All in all a great lunch on a great day in Dover! Urge you to stop by and have a great meal!"
