What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Cafe on the Green is widely praised for its excellent cream tea and scones, as well as its stunning location in Widecombe in the Moor. Diners often compliment the friendly service and cozy atmosphere, making it a popular stop for both locals and visitors. However, some reviews mention long queues during busy periods and occasional service issues, such as inconsistent dog management.
"We visited this place on our road trip around Cornwall. We ordered an English breakfast and coffee. Their homemade beans are very interesting and good. Also, try their scones; I've never had such a good scone ever. They are dog-friendly. They get busy, but it's worth trying. The food is amazing, and the place is cute. It's pricey, but you get your money's worth. We would come back again for sure.

"This café really stands out for its location, beautiful setting, coffee, cakes and service. While not an easy drive to get here in a car, the trip would definitely appeal to the bikers out there for its stunning, winding roads. Speaking of transport, the car park is huge, with spaces for motorbikes, coaches and cars. If you sat outside, you’d have a great view of the church and its stunning green, alongside a few local shops worth visiting. While the coffee and cake slices were great, the queue to order was quite long, approx. 20min - showing how popular this café is. Otherwise, it is definitely worth visiting on a sunny weekend!"
