What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Farmhouse is celebrated for its exceptional service and inviting ambiance, with many praising the attentive staff, particularly a waiter named Fizz. While the food is generally well-presented and flavorful, some reviews suggest inconsistencies in execution, with certain dishes like the mixed grill receiving mixed feedback on meat tenderness and chip crispness. Despite minor critiques, the overall dining experience is considered highly positive, making it a popular choice in the Midlands.
"We celebrated a birthday at The Farmhouse and had an absolutely fantastic experience. From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The food was simply amazing... flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried exceeded expectations.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a special occasion. What truly stood out, though, was the impeccable service. All the staff were courteous, attentive, and made us feel genuinely looked after.
A special mention goes to Fizzy, one of the waiters who truly elevated our evening. He was constantly checking in, making sure we had everything we needed, and brought such a positive energy to the table. His friendliness and attention to detail made our celebration feel even more memorable.
Thank you to everyone at The Farmhouse for making the day so special. We’ll definitely be back!"

"So 5 stars for the service.
And 5 stars for the location, the quality of decor and beautiful furniture … and amazing toilets.
But only 3 stars for the food I’m afraid. The mixed grill was quite bad tbh. The meat was very chewy at some points and perfect at others. The steak chips were rock hard with some of them and fine with some of them. It surprised us that the food came out so quick - about 5 mins for a medium steak - which can only mean that the food was half or fully cooked to start with. The best part was starter short ribs and lamb chops.
So overall, cook your food from fresh (especially at the prices charged) and everyone will come and leave delighted.
Overall we had a great time and thanks to your amazing staff who couldn’t do enough for us."

"Really nice halal high end restaurant. I wouldn’t say that it’s quite fine dining as that is quite
nuanced. There are elements where there is some fine dining etiquette but it’s more high end dining.
The interior, the external buzz with the luxurious cars all adds to the theatrics. The presentation of the food is really nice too. The food is nice but nothing that wows me.
There are people of all races that visit the restaurant and it’s a nice buzz and vibe. The food was delicious but it’s not something I think about or would rush back to go but I know it’s a really great option in the Midlands.
My favourite was the raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake (likely from an external supplier). I imagine there are menu updates or additions since I last went and would want to go if I’m in the area.
The layout of the space allows to choose what kind of area you’d like to sit in. Some spaces are quieter than others. I’m sure quieter areas can be requested but when it is busy I’m not sure they can flex to that. And this place is booming on weekends and (Friday night and Saturday) it wasn’t as busy when we went again Sunday afternoon."
