The XChurch Music Festival (July 18 – 20) is all about celebrating local community through music and food. Christchurch Carnival (August 15 – 17) has floats, bands and local community groups parading along the High Street down to the Quomps on the Quay, where a funfair is held over the carnival weekend and a firework finale.

After a beautiful walk from Highcliffe along the beach I was able to enjoy a delicious lobster on the roof terrace of this great restaurant!. They were able to accommodate my gluten allergy, including serving me chips with my lobster. Highly recommend a visit

Situated right on Avon Beach in Christchurch, the family run restaurant has fresh and seasonal produce on the menu. Why not try something you’ve maybe never tried before, or visit for your favourite seafood dishes. It’s a meal with a stunning view.

The young team at The Noisy Lobster have done wonders and the seafood is particularly well sourced. The menus are simple, creative and service is good. Ingredients are mostly local, with the rest coming from UK waters, or Hampshire’s fields.

Lovely little quirky pub , great menu choice and the food was amazing !. Staff were so attentive & really welcoming and the pub has a really lovely friendly vibe, highly Recommend a visit here we will definitely be going back.

Alison: This really depends on what you want from your stay. The suburb of Southbourne, to the east of the town centre, is more chilled and my favourite B&B is Mory House, which is beautifully decorated and family run.

Beach Hut Café is located facing an award winning and safe beach, with amazing sea views from Hurst Spit in the East, to the Purbeck Hills in the West.

Really good food, lovely staff, lots of gluten free options, very clear on the menu. We sat by the window, beautiful view.
