Reviews Summary
Diners consistently praise The Earl of March for its exceptional food quality, often comparing it favorably to high-end London restaurants. The beautiful setting and friendly, attentive staff further enhance the dining experience. While prices are noted as not cheap, the overall consensus is that the culinary experience and atmosphere are well worth the cost, making it a highly recommended destination.
"We were very impressed by the food and staff at the Earl of March today.
We both had the scallops starter from the al a carte menu and the dish was perfectly cooked with delicious flavours
We then each had an open sandwich, these were al a carte sandwiches at normal pub prices, I had Brie, beetroot and homemade pickle, my husband had beef, both came with pickled vegetables, remoulade and brilliant homemade chunky chips that as delicious as roast potatoes, the sandwiches were thoughtful, tasty and great value for money, even though we were full we couldn’t resist sharing the sticky toffee pudding dessert and we weren’t disappointed it was gooey but light, with great ice cream on a bed a crunch.
The staff were friendly, there was a lovely fire burning and I expect we’ll be back."

"We went for lunch yesterday and had a fab meal. The fish finger open sandwich was delicious with proper pieces of fish! Not a normal fish finger at all! Brie sandwiches were also delicious. Everything was well presented. Great coffee too. And super friendly service. We also bought some bread to take away. Would highly recommend!"

"Well deserves 5 stars. Beautiful surroundings set off the perfect pub experience. Well worth a visit!
Edit. Just returned for a second visit. This time for dinner. And wow! The food was out of this world. The quality of the meals would not ve out of place in a high end London restuarant.
One our party was vegan and while there qas not a vegan option on the menu, the chef was more than happy to make a meal to suit. Superb all round."
