Reviews Summary

Diners consistently praise Chef's Table for its inventive and original cuisine, often comparing it favorably to Michelin-starred establishments. The service is frequently highlighted as superb, with knowledgeable staff. However, some guests have noted that certain dishes, while generally good, can be slightly simple or have one element that doesn't quite hit the mark, and one reviewer felt some mains were not up to par with the restaurant's high-end reputation.

"Went for a 3 course lunch and could have not been better. The food was exquisite. Sent my compliments to the chef. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. Been to many Michelin Star restaurants and some were not of this quality. Will definitely return."

Carlos Matos

"I went here for my partner's birthday meal and we were absolutely blown away with how incredible the experience was.

We decided to go for their set lunch menu at a very reasonable £35 for two courses (bearing in mind a single main on the evening menu is £40 average), the staff were very pleasant and the sommelier was fantastic - my partner and I love Romanian wine and it just so happened that so did he so we had excellent discussions across some of the best food I've ever eaten.

I would highly recommend the iberico pork tasting for the main - it was unbelievable to have such a variety of cuts and styles in one dish, 10/10."

Robin Huxley

"We went here for a 3 course meal. The food was nice. The little dish for the table (haggis fritters) was very good and the starter was fantastic. The mains were hit and miss, the chicken main had a piece of fried chicken which was more like fast food chicken. The desert cheese board was maybe too simple with slightly stale crackers. Over all, not a bad experience but I expected more from a high end restaurant."

The owners Liam McKay and Tom Hughes are so passionate, and you can tell from the moment you walk in. It’s modern, but it’s authentic - they work alongside local growers called The Natural Veg Men.
