Reviews Summary

Dusty's Pizza is highly praised for its exceptional Neapolitan-style pizzas, with many calling it the best in Cardiff and even the UK. Diners rave about the creative flavor combinations, quality dough, and friendly service. While most reviews are glowing, a few customers have experienced issues with inaccurate opening hours leading to wasted trips.

"Wonderful place - we love Dusty’s! Review from my 6 year old “Great Pizza, great music” - I couldn’t agree more :-) The food is delicious and the staff are always so friendly and welcoming, especially to our young kids, even providing some colouring for them to do. It’s why it’s our favourite we keep coming back to :-)"

Rebecca Hewitson

"Have had several takeaways which were delicious with fab creative flavours, so we decided to try and go in person today. We checked their website, google opening hours and instagram before and all said open. Unfortunately when we arrived it was closed so was a wasted 1 hour round trip, which makes us unlikely to visit again… would suggest updating it on one or all of these platforms if you are closed to not let customers down!"

Hannah Rossiter

"Amazing pizza, probably the best in Cardiff. Highly recommend and super friendly server"

Cardiff's 55 best restaurants 2025: The best places to eat in the city

Another classic who can't be shifted from our best of lists, and with bloody good reason, Dusty's team have been kneading hard for the past decade to bring the perfect Neopolitan-based pizza and they've damn near done it, too. They've been at many homes for that 10 years, but now their permanent base is down in Llanishen. Sample dish: A newbie this one is, but they've recently upped the ante on fancy and tasty combos with a mortadella, pistachio pesto, stracciatella & lemon pizza.

The best things to do in Cardiff

Head to Dusty’s in Canton for pillowy pizza, or Heaney’s in Pontcanna for a striking seasonal menu of Pembrokshire chicken or BBQ lamb. Cardiff’s stand-out dishes include the sticky spicy beef roti at Brother Thai and the monkfish at Kindle. The latter is a recent addition to Cardiff’s restaurant roster, and both are worth booking ahead.

591 by Anatoni's, Canton, Cardiff: review

Pizza may come and pizza may go in Cardiff- the Brass Beetle has recently shut, while a new Dusty’s has opened in Llanishen- but it’s Tony Frawley’s return to Cardiff which had pizza lovers excited at the end of 2023: because for years now, wherever Tony has been, has been the place to eat pizza.

Up in suburban north Cardiff, scene legend Dusty’s is using its wood-fired oven to not just ace pork and fennel or ’nduja pizzas but to roast, smoke and then fry its Kindle potatoes, served with garlic, BBQ or spicy mayo dips.
