Specialising in street food, Brother Thai is a Whitchurch Street haunt that was opened by Andrew Chongsathien in 2021, though they've been cooking up their signature Thai rotis since 2015. This unique dish is like a large taco, using a flakey paratha packed with Thai-inspired fillings - from their popular sticky spicy beef to roasted jackfruit or sticky seitan. They also serve rice bowls and small plates, to be enjoyed alongside one of their delicious cocktails.

Brother Thai have been regulars on the street food pop-up for the past six years. Back in 2017, they won ‘best vegetarian dish’ at the UK Street Food Awards for the vegan roti which comes stuffed with succulent spicy jackfruit and shiitake mushrooms – it’s still my favourite thing on their menu. You can now find Brother Thai at their first Bricks & Mortar site on Whitchurch Road.
