Reviews Summary
Pint Shop offers a vibrant atmosphere with an impressive selection of craft beers and gins, complemented by creative small plates and main dishes. While many praise the quality of food and drink, exceptional service, and stylish decor, some diners find the prices steep and have noted inconsistencies in food preparation and service.
"Make booking is always a good idea. We did but walk ins are seen regularly.
Arrived early for a beer 😁 It isn’t called the Pint shop for nothing. And there is a great choice a huge choice of beer.
Went through to the restaurant area and it was very quiet. But it got a lot busier as time passed.
Great friendly young lady served us 😁
Ordered scotch egg to start which was great.
Mains were the schnitzel which was huge and very well cooked and I had ham egg and chips which was also very good.
Bottle of wine which was not too expensive 😁
Huge place over three floors.
Great bar area.
Toilets clean 😁
Outside area too 😁
Highly recommended 😁🏴"

"Modern Pub
Working hard to write reviews for the Cambridge pubs therefore entered this restaurant.
The restaurant is much bigger than I expected. The modern style attracts a lot of young customers.
The portion sizes are quite small in terms of the prices. It's not the cheapest pub in the town centre.
The food had slightly higher quality than Bath House, Eagle and Baron of Beef. But more expensive than them.
But it looks very modern and clean, with big toilets.
The service was good.
As a reminder, this pub didn't provide chicken Sunday Roast on the day I visited. I suggest you check the menu in case you really want to have chicken Sunday Roast."

"Decent scotch egg. Sunday roast’s meat is alright but everything else on the plate is nice.
The famous scotch egg did not disappoint— one of the best I’ve had. Mixed to a more chewy texture but not tough. Prominent sage and other herbs’ flavor. Slightly fatty so half per person is perfect :3 The sweet-tart apple sauce is very refreshing and delightful, though I sometimes forgot to dip in it because of the nicely seasoned egg itself.
Roast beef seems overcooked. Only a hint of pinkness. Slightly tough but still tolerable. The beef flavor is good. Yorkshire pudding is fluffy and not greasy at all, though I hope it can be a little more eggy. Veggies are nice— especially the parsnip is cooked to perfect. The gravy is subtle and not overpowering.
Fried calamari and prawn is not too heavy and the chili mayo is also lovely even fr a non-mayo person.
I don’t drink but really appreciate the beer board with all the information :>
The staff is friendly and the place is more spacious than I imagined. I really appreciate the young lady for adjusting our bill to the Sunday 2-course."

The best restaurants in Cambridge
Despite the dazzling blackboard list of cask and keg beers, this place is more gastro than pub. It claims its inspiration as 1830s beerhouses, yet the food is thoroughly contemporary as is the parquet flooring and hip dangling lights (watch your head). Obliging young wait staff can point you to old menu favourites – the superb overnight pork belly has been featured since the opening day in 2013 – and to classicdishes such as Scotch eggs, British charcuterie sharing boards and chimchirri cauliflower (proving flexibility in the restaurant's subtitle "Meat Bread Beer").

Top 10 Craft Beer Pubs in Cambridge, UK
A rather hip bar by Cambridge standards (there is lots of wood panelling, industrial lighting, vintage-looking brass taps on the bar), Pint Shop specialises in cutting-edge craft beers. Its 10 keg and six cask lines were, on this visit, pouring beers from Arbor, Thornbridge, Redemption, Redwell and Dutch brewery Kaapse, as well as an intriguing Imperial India Brown beer from Beavertown in collaboration with Canada’s Bellwoods. I opted for Marble’s marvellous Pint, which – lingeringly bitter, full of floral and tropical fruit flavours – was a reminder of just how much flavour a skilled brewer can pack into a 3.9% session ale.• Pint from £3.80, 10 Peas Hill, 01223 352293, pintshop.co.uk
Cambridge Pubs – Quinns
After a good look round we hastily finished our drinks and went to leave, noticing the American accents of the only other customers as we passed them, and spontaneously stopping to urge these visitors to Cambridge, who’d unknowingly found themselves in Quinns because it happened to be the nearest place they’d found after leaving the car park, to go to ANY other nearby bar – the Pint Shop, the Eagle even (come on, they loved its potted history, what with its RAF bar and associations with American airmen), anywhere but here.
