Reviews Summary
Sonny Stores is celebrated for its exceptional Italian-inspired cuisine and warm, attentive service that makes diners feel truly special. While many rave about the quality of the food, particularly the pizzas and pastas, and the cozy neighborhood atmosphere, a few guests noted that the interior could be slightly more refined, and one review mentioned a split tiramisu, though this was considered an isolated incident.
"We love Sonny Stores and were so happy that they were able to cater our wedding! Jenna was brilliant in the lead-up—so helpful, great at keeping in touch, and made organising everything so easy. On the day, Pegs cooked an amazing 4-course dinner and canapés that everyone loved, and the staff were absolutely wonderful—so friendly and attentive. Sonny Stores were also fantastic at helping with the wine, having us taste several wines to make sure we found something that went well with our main course.
Highly recommend for your special occasions!"

"Came here for my graduation and messed up my booking (All my fault) but they were super accommodating. It was my third time here and the food is alway top notch. Shame I have graduated as now I won’t be able to go as often."

"We had a really delicious meal at Sonny Stores this past weekend. The service was phenomenal- you really couldn’t ask for more. We had loads of questions and our kind waitress talked us through the whole menu and was clearly very passionate about the dishes on offer.
The pizzetta was tasty and I appreciated how happy the staff were to make an adjustment to make it vegetarian. The castelfranco salad was divine.
My friends loved their ossobuco and thought it was worth every penny. My ravioli was tasty too, as was the focaccia.
There were many stars to this meal. My two wishes would be for a slightly nicer interior - the plastic chairs don’t seem to chime with the fine dining menu that this restaurant offers. We were also let down with the tiramisu, which seemed to have split and just didn’t taste great. But I’m putting that down to an off batch as I know how great it looks on other reviews.
After tip we paid £150 in total for 3 people, including a bottle of wine. This felt fair enough."

16 best restaurants in Bristol to visit this year
What began as a lockdown project making and selling sourdough pizzas from home has now blossomed into a bricks-and-mortar restaurant in Southville, that's lovingly named after owner's Mary Glynn and Pegs Quinn's son. The menu is formed with more of that much-loved Italian inspiration, which comes from Pegs' experience working at London's River Cafe, so expect a similar style and level of cooking, but just in a small laid-back neighbourhood restaurant, with a much smaller bill at the end. The blackboard menu changes depending on what's available daily, but dishes might include favourites such as marinated Cantabrian anchovies and bianca pizza.
