What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Caper & Cure is celebrated for its inventive, high-quality dishes and a cozy, chic atmosphere that makes for a memorable dining experience. Diners rave about the exceptional Sunday roasts and starters, often citing them as highlights. While the food and ambiance receive consistent praise, some reviews mention occasional lapses in service, with staff sometimes forgetting orders or requiring reminders, though this is often attributed to needing more floor staff.
"Blown away by this Sunday roast. Not only was the roast delicious, but the crab butter was insane. Will be back for this alone. The restaurant is cute and the staff is attentive. Would love to try their dinner menu as well!"

"Amazing. Should’ve reviewed a long time ago. Been coming here for many years (not as regularly as we’d like!). Staff are brilliant, food amazing, always feels like a real treat. Giles’ attention to detail and the friendly atmosphere add to the above making it our favourite Bristol restaurant."
Steve Morgan
"Had an amazing anniversary dinner here on the 18th July!! I recommend booking in advance as the restaurant is small, but the vibe and staff are lovely. I believe the menu varies slightly each day, and there are also limited specials of the day that are put up on the blackboard.
We shared the crab butter & bread started and it was AMAZING!! Honestly the best starter we’ve ever had anywhere 🫶🏻
For the main, we had a beef onglet and the lobster special. Both were of a very good quality and had lots of flavour.
We ordered 2 cocktails each as well as a cheesecake to share for dessert.
Everything was perfect, the staff were very friendly and attentive, and the prices were very reasonable for its quality. I would definitely come back again!"

14 best restaurants in Bristol to visit this year
One thing that really stood out to me about Caper and Cure, located in bustling Stokes Croft, was the fact that the steak and chips were actually served on the same plate. I cannot remember the last time my chips hadn’t arrived in some sort of separate vessel to the main attraction; it’s a small detail that, for me, made a big difference. At caper and cure they don’t do something just because everyone else does.
