"Came for afternoon tea for our Mum’s birthday (25/10/24)
It was a cold misty day, so to start off with a lovely bowl of homemade leek and potato soup was ideal.
Sandwiches, cakes and scones were wonderfully fresh and tasty. More than enough to eat for the three of us. A box was provided to take home our uneaten items.
Unfortunately I didn’t get the name of anyone who served us, but their friendliness added to the overall experience.
Also saw a notice for Christmas Afternoon Tea that looked enticing."

"Afternoon Tea for Two. (Updated)
A wide choice of food and a large enough tea pot for 3 cups each.
The location is excellent, right in the centre of Old Town and the interior is brightly lit.
Towards the rear was a selection of bath bombs and gifts.
There's also antiques upstairs over 2 floors as well as a large outdoor area with tables for open air dining and yet more antiques!
The staff were all very friendly and cheerful. Very relaxed and chatty.
Parking is a bit tricky and booking is essential. They were having to turn customers away while we were there.
There is a single step in the entrance."

TAKING TEA - In the Georgian Tea Rooms, Old Town, Bridlington, East Yorkshire by Patricia Edith Mary Thompson
This painting was chosen by The Tea Council, to represent the Georgian Tea Rooms in The Old Town, Bridlington, in its AA Guide Book 2006 "Britain's Best Afternoon Tea", and quoted as, 'Quintessentially English Tea Rooms in one of the Country's most complete georgian streets'. As the book goes on to quote, "the artist painted this delightful view one Sunday afternoon, "in situ", wishing "to capture that strong feeling of age and history, together with that, "timeless image of Teatime in England". All true -I wanted to catch the ambiance and mood, so completed the work in one session.
How to spend a day in Bridlington on the Yorkshire coast
A great first stop would be The Georgian Tearooms and Antique Centre - it is a super friendly place to grab breakfast and pot of tea. If you head upstairs, it’s full of all wonderful curiosities and antique goods. It is like a treasure trove where you are sure to find something to take away with you as each room is packed with many items.
