What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Diners rave about the high quality of food, particularly the seafood and fish and chips, often highlighting the stunning harbour views. While the food receives consistent praise, some guests have noted slow service during peak times and occasional issues with staff knowledge. The attentive and friendly staff are also frequently mentioned as a positive aspect of the dining experience.
"The food here is great. We opted for fish and chips. They are fleshly made to order. You are given a buzzer if you are sitting outside, so you don't have to stand and wait. The bar inside is clean and child friendly. If you enjoy a great cup of tea, this is the bar to come to. It is made in a teapot with enough milk to make 2 drinks. Absolutely perfectly. Staff are friendly and happy to help."

"Best Fish and Chips in town!!! Nice tables with view onto the harbour. Tables are slightly sticky but clean, as we saw it being cleaned, while waiting for our table.
I will never understand why the cleaning of pub and restaurant tables is done by spraying product on it layer over layer and then just wiping over and letting it dry. It just leaves a sticky layer of cleaning products.
Sadly the staff was not very well informed. Before ordering i asked if there was anything not available out of the menu and we were told we could order anything, so we placed the order. 10 Minutes later we were told, that the steak we ordered has run out. Why not asking the kitchen before, especially if you don’t know when asked. When we arrived we felt a bit like we were not very welcomed either. No smiles, no friendly words from staff members, just doing their jobs.
Great food though (that’s what the five stars are really for), but customer orientation, … i am not so sure of."

"Hi. We came to the restaurant on Friday night with my relatives that were visiting from Scotland. There were 8 of us and all 8 dishes were absolutely delicious. The meals we had ranged from scampi, fish and chips, steak, pork tomahawk and seafood Thermidor. They were all cooked to perfection! The staff- I couldn’t compliment them enough. The waitresses and bar staff were very attentive and polite. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for making our night memorable. 🤩"
