Reviews Summary

Renoufs is celebrated for its exceptional selection of cheeses, charcuterie, and wines, with many reviewers highlighting the knowledgeable and friendly staff who provide personalized recommendations. The cozy atmosphere makes it a popular spot for dates and casual evenings. However, some reviews mention issues with service during peak times and a strict pet policy.

"Excellent cheese, charcuterie and wine selection. Good service, quality and reasonable prices. Maybe could give tad more guidance for novices (not my case)"

"Would not allow us in with a dog which is a real shame because we were really looking forward to trying it out. What a shame when most other bars in the area are dog friendly. Also if you do make the unusual decision to ban dogs you should display this outside and also online so people don't have to be ejected in shame in front of a packed bar. Unfortunately it is only possible to review a place based on your experience and that was my experience. Instead we called into a couple of other more welcoming local bars (who welcomed dogs) and had some lovely food and drinks elsewhere."

"I would have left a zero star for service but unfortunately that was not an option. The food was lovely, truly. However, the service we received from our server towards the end of the night when paying was embarrassing for the establishment. We tipped her £20 cash, so we politely asked for gratuity to be taken off and we were met with a nasty attitude. I really am disappointed. The deposit paid for a table of 10 was not considered whatsoever when it came to paying, we all individually ended up over paying. This was met by our server with no accountability or help. we had tipped her prior to this because she was lovely. I am very confused as to why this even occurred.
This is not an establishment i would recommend for any kind of celebration.

i am already anticipating a hostile passive aggressive review, as seen with other people who had the same issue. if they reply with the same type of hostile answer, you guys know we are in the right"

The best restaurants in the New Forest

Pop in to this low-lit, wood-floored, bottle-lined High Street wine bar for a huge range of wines plus premium gins, whiskys, rums, local craft beers, and continental lagers. To accompany, there’s an impressive selection of artisan cheeses and charcuterie. Of course, it’s possible to spend extravagantly here, depending on what you drink, but a glass of wine and a sharing board for two and six people helps keep the cost right down.
